Backyard friends

Steve is putting some new fencing in the backyard and had two little toad friends find their way into one of his holes. Since Steve does not do "frogs" as he put it I had to come out and retrieve them LOL here are some pics I took, enjoy!

Hail Storm

We have definatly had our share of weather latly tonight a storm blew in after our hottest weekend yet and it started to hail, the kids had never seen it before so they thought it was really cool to see what they described as "ice falling from th sky" LOL I took a couple of pics the kids were out picking it up and Cory kept running in and putting it in the freezer until his "hail collection was complete" Some of the hail was quarter sized, I am sure glad it did not last but a few minutes.

LOL We went to the Lynn wood park Zoo a small place with lots of birds a couple of baboons a zebra goats and various other animals. We also went to the Onslow County Museum, Where the kids got to do a fossil dig, the kids thought that was really cool. Cory found 6 shark teeth and 2 sting ray mouth plates. Really cool in our book! Tornados did hit our town

Well yesterday an EF-2 tornado did hit, in our town not to far from where I live.it was right at where Cory has boy scouts. A business was destroyed and I believe they said some homes were damaged and the church where boy scouts holds there meeting was badly damaged. A couple of people were injured but fortunately no one killed. It was really frightening, the kids who have been fighting like cats and dogs were holding hands trying to comfort each other. I even emptied the hallway closet in case we needed to get in. Steve and I kept pacing the windows and doors keeping a look out. Its really frightening all this weather we have been having lately. I hope that everyone else has remained safe during these storms.
